Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal has joined Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia.

Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to a two-year contract with Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr after his Manchester United contract was amicably ended. Ronaldo disclosed in November that he was offered a £305 million summer transfer to Saudi Arabia.

Legendary soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo has committed to playing for Saudi Arabia’s Al Nassr club squad till June 2025. Al Nassr FC sent a tweet on its English-language account with the caption “History in the Making.”

Ronaldo stated in the statement, “I feel that this is the ideal time to share my experience in Asia, and I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues and achieving success with the Club.”

“This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation, and future generations.”

Ronaldo’s deal will last for two and a half years, or until June 2025, and after commercial agreements are taken into account, his annual pay will reach €200 million (£177 million). It is believed to be the largest sum of money ever given to something like a professional football player.

Ronaldo “stated he is interested in experiencing a new football in a foreign nation,” according to a statement on the Al Nassr website. The athlete was also quoted as saying, “The idea that Al Nassr runs under is incredibly motivating, and I am eager to join my colleagues.” Together, let’s support the team in achieving further victories.

One of the greatest footballers in history is Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the fact that his playing days are drawing to a close, he enjoys enormous popular recognition off the field. With 526 million followers, he has the most followers on Instagram. He has also inked business deals with companies including Nike, the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, and Herbalife Nutrition.

In three years with Juventus, Ronaldo won two Serie A championships and a Copa Italia trophy before returning to Manchester United, where he had already won three Premier League championships, two League Cups, and the Champions League.

Ronaldo could be eligible to be on the bench for that match because he has been exercising since before his FIFA World Cup 2022 season with Portugal was over. Whether he plays in that game will depend on the manager, Rudi Garcia, and the impression the former Real Madrid player is able to make in practice. He could, however, play in the team’s upcoming match against Al-Shabab on January 14.

According to media sources, the Portugal star may receive up to $200 million annually from the contract, making him the greatest football player in history. Requests for comments about the details of the agreement were not answered by officials for Al Nasser and Ronaldo.

He led Portugal at the World Cup of Football earlier this month in Qatar, but he only managed one goal. He was taken from the team’s starting lineup, and they lost to Morocco in the quarterfinals.

Ronaldo will arrive in Saudi Arabia with a sizable collection of club honours after a glittering time at Spanish superpower Real Madrid from 2009 to 2018, when he won two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, four Champions League victories, and three Club World Cups.

He then went on to score 451 goals for Real Madrid, a club record, and has more than 800 senior goals total for club and nation.
