Neymar scoring and beating; Brazil beats Uruguay, Argentina wins

Amazonas (Brazil): Argentina won the South American World Cup qualifying round. Superstar Neymar returned to winning ways in a brilliant match. Argentina beat Peru on penalties by a single goal. Brazil also beat the mighty Uruguay by four goals to one. In other matches, Bolivia beat Paraguay (4–0) and Chile beat Venezuela (3–0). Colombia – Ecuador match ended in a goalless draw.
Lautaro Martinez’s first-half goal against Peru in Argentina’s home game gave Argentina the lead. In the 43rd minute, Martinez found the target from Molina’s pass. However, in the 65th minute, Victor Yotton missed a penalty from Peru to help Argentina.
With the win over Uruguay, Brazil retained the top spot with 31 points from 11 games.

Argentina are second with 25 points from as many matches. Uruguay are fifth with just 16 points from 12 games. Defeat to Argentina puts them in ninth place with 11 points from 12 games.
Rafinha’s double gave Brazil the victory in a thrilling match at the Brazilian plate. Rafinha’s goals came in the 18th and 58th minutes. Neymar (10) and Gabriel Barbosa (83) also found the target for Brazil. Neymar scored Brazil’s first goal and added two assists. Uruguay’s consolation goal was scored by Louis Suarez (77).

Second-place Argentina beat Peru 1-0 a few hours earlier and is also close to clinching a direct qualifying berth. Lionel Messi did not have one of his better days, but the hosts managed to have the best opportunities in the match.

Argentina wasted two opportunities to score in the first two minutes of the match. And it appeared it would hammer Peru when Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring with a headed goal in the 43rd minute after a cross from the right by Nahuel Molina.But the second half showed a more intense Peru team, which had a golden chance to equalize from the spot in the 65th minute after a foul by goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
